We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant Teacher to join our team. We are looking for a person who greatly loves working with and watching children grow. As a Daycare Assistant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your responsibilities will include implementing educational activities ensuring the well-being of each child, and working with parents to support their child’s development.
*Responsibilities*
* Follow the age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
* Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
* Monitor and assess children’s progress in various developmental areas including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
* Provide care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
* Foster positive relationships with children through play-based learning activities.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive teaching approach across the daycare.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom to provide an optimal learning environment. Daily cleaning of the environment you work in.
* Support children with special education needs by adapting activities to meet individual requirements.
*Qualifications*
* Experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting is a good asset .
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is helpful not required.
* Experience in infant care and toddler care is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with childhood development milestones is beneficial.
* Background in special education is a plus but not mandatory.
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
* A nurturing demeanor with patience and understanding towards children’s needs.
