About the Role
The Deposit Services position provides a wide range of post account opening support to the Retail, Commercial, Private Banking, Treasury, and Trust business lines. This position is responsible for monitoring, processing, and maintenance of all deposit related items as well as providing administrative support to customers and bank personnel.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Edit and maintain customer profile changes, including address changes, email updates, phone updates, etc.
Edit and maintain deposit account changes and requests, including waiving fees, ownership changes, account type changes, check ordering, etc.
Add and monitor stop payments and deposit holds (notice of funds delayed availability).
Scan and index documents for retention in imaging system.
Review new deposit accounts for proper setup and documentation.
Monitor ATM activity for fraudulent/suspicious activity, process activity reports, and corrections.
Create and research Cashier’s Checks.
Process IOLTA payments with State of South Dakota.
Process returned mail.
Verify interest paid on Savings Bonds.
Research and resolve issues related to deposit accounts as requested by staff and customers, including correspondence via email, phone, or by mail.
Process tasks in accordance with bank policy, department standards, and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

Must possess basic understanding of banking concepts.

Combination of education/experience enabling incumbent to meet essential functions and required competencies of the position.

Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Windows environment.

Proficiency in the English language.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with customers and coworkers.

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and solution orientated.

Capacity to learn, adapt to change, and become proficient quickly.

Must possess tact, diplomacy, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure.
